The Siemens 6AG2515-2FM02-4AB0 is a ruggedized SIPLUS S7-1500 CPU 1515F-2 PN RAIL, designed for safety-related industrial automation and demanding railway applications. It is based on the standard 6ES7515-2FM02-0AB0 CPU and incorporates conformal coating for enhanced protection against environmental contamination. It is part of the SIPLUS S7-1500 RAIL family and is intended for reliable operation in harsh environments.

A major feature of the -4AB0 RAIL variant is its extended environmental capability, with an operating temperature range of -40C to +70C and OT4 capability, including short-duration operation up to +85C for 10 minutes. The CPU also incorporates a heat sink, which means that PS modules cannot be installed directly beside the CPU. It provides 750 KB work memory for the program and 3 MB for data, with a 30 ns bit-performance execution time.

The CPU provides PROFINET IRT through its first interface with an integrated 2-port switch, while the second interface supports PROFINET RT. It supports fail-safe programming using languages including LAD, FBD, SCL, and GRAPH, making it suitable for safety-oriented automation systems. A SIMATIC Memory Card is required for operation.
